Join the Bellberry Team

The purpose of medical research is to advance knowledge for the good of society; to improve the health of people worldwide; or to find better ways to treat and prevent disease.

Bellberry Limited is a national, private not-for-profit organisation that provides streamlined scientific and ethical review of human research projects across Australia. Bellberry Committees ensure that “all types of research involving or impacting on humans conform to the highest ethical standards of practice and academic integrity”.

As a not for profit company, Bellberry plays an important role in supporting the medical research community by improving the welfare of research participants and the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of research and by donating surplus funds back into the research community.

Bellberry consists of a team of highly professional, innovative and dedicated people in various unique roles, who are all committed to making a difference within the research community.

Committee Members

Each of our Committees are supported by a core group of dedicated community, legal and pastoral care representatives. Science/medical and ‘professional care’ representatives are drawn from a pool of experts on a meeting by meeting basis. This ensures the right expertise is present at each meeting.

See our Expressions of Interest Page for further information about becoming a Committee member.
